Growing pepper seeds is easy but can be a little tricky to start. It really only comes down to a little extra heat though. Starting peppers should always be done with bottom heat for successful germination. Once germination is complete they are fairly easy to maintain and grow. Like most vegetables plant peppers in full sun. High heat and periods of drought (not to the point of death or fruit loss) will intensify pepper heat. The Yellow Brain Strain Pepper is another super hot variety that we are pleased to grow. This pepper has a building heat that is almost unmatched. Although not rated as high in Scoville ratings, this pepper is not to be messed with. Many of those that have eaten it say that it has caused euphoria unlike many other peppers, even ones with higher Scoville ratings. If you are feeling brave this is the pepper for you. Once the face-melting heat subsides these are actually quite fruity and nice. The Brain Strain plant will grow to about 3′ tall and needs to be in direct sun for the best results. Climates with hot summers is recommended for growing the best peppers, regardless of variety. To increase heat within the pepper, some water strain is necessary. Over-watered super hot pepper varieties tend to lose some of their heat and have the potential to be a little bitter as well. This is a great pepper for growing in containers.
