Sub Arctic Plenty Tomato

$1.29

The Sub Arctic Plenty tomato was bred and developed in the 1970’s at the Beaverlodge Research Station in Alberta. This variety was developed to provide tomatoes for cooler climates with shortened summer seasons. This is one of the earliest and hardiest varieties of tomato ever bred. Sub Arctic will produce hundreds of 1-2″ great tasting tomatoes. There is no need to stake this one but the fruit might weigh it down during the heaviest of harvests. This is a great option for northern climates with shorter growing seasons. 10 Seeds Per Pack

  Ask a Question

Growing tomatoes from seed is very easy but they should be started indoors for early production. Use bottom heat to improve germination rates. This heirloom variety is determinate in nature and will mature in approximately 55 days. Plant tomatoes in full sun for best results. Water evenly and regularly to prevent blossom end rot. Providing calcium will further reduce the chances of blossom end rot. Start 6-8 weeks before last frost. 10 Seeds Per Pack
